Douglas Wade Jones

Before he ever heard about the field of technical writing, Douglas Wade Jones was torn between the study of English and an array of technical subjects like chemical engineering, database design, and software engineering. When he realized there was actually a career path in making technical things comprehensible, he quickly got a certificate in technical writing from DeAnza College and began a long career as a writer/analyst. He worked as a technical writer and manager at Novell for 11 years. He has also been a business analyst for Dish Network, the City of Boise, and the Idaho Transportation Department. He currently makes camp with his wife Mary in the state of Idaho.
