Randall B. Bush

Randall Bush is University Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee where he taught for thirty-two years. He directed the Interdisciplinary Honors Program there for twelve years. An ordained Baptist minister, he holds two earned doctorates, a Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, and a D. Phil from the University of Oxford in England. While at Oxford, he was a Tutor for the Examination Schools in Theology and served as the Director of the Graduate Seminar at Regent's Park College, bringing in such notable speakers as Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury. Upon returning from Oxford he was appointed as the Rockwell Visiting Theologian at the University of Houston. Among his academic publications is a work on the doctrine of the Trinity entitled, Recent Ideas of Divine Conflict; and God, Morality, and Beauty: The Trinitarian Shape of Christian Ethics, Aesthetics, and the Problem of Evil. His other works include The Christmas Tree Tales, which feature four children's Christmas books, Gabriel's Magic Ornament, Widgmus World, The Mailbox Tree, A Christmas Comedy. He has also authored The Caterbury Tails, a humorous illustrated poem, and The Quest for Asdin, a fantasy novel.
