James Sutton

Has published ten books of poetry, mostly sonnet sequences. "The Last Samurai" won the 1997 Mellen Poetry Prize for "Best long poem in Gt. Britain & the U.S." The trilogy -- "Harry's Gloom," "Harry's 'Love" and "Harry's Joy" -- reprises the Divine Comedy in a profane age. His "Doomsday Dictionary" is a spin doctor's guide to political diabolisms, in the manner of Ambrose Bierce.
