Gail MacMillan is a three-time Maxwell Medal winner from Dog Writers Association of America in NYC. "Biography of a Beagle" and "Ceilidh's Quest" (books)won Maxwells as well as an article in "Gun Dog" magazine about Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers.
She is also the author of fourteen published romance novels as well as two history books and two dog breed publications. Her work has appeared in magazines from coast to coast both in the USA and Canada. Her love of writing and dogs is like the riddle of which came first, the chicken or the egg. She's never been sure but she is certain that these two passions have followed her every day of her life.
Gail enjoys life in the outdoors and lives in New Brunswick, Canada with her husband and four dogs; a Pug named Bruiser, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Molly, a Beagle named Scout, and a no-name-brand named Barbie-Q she and her husband found abandoned under their barbecue.
