Donald Healey grew up in Santa Paula, California, “Citrus Capital of the World.” After graduating high school, he attended the University of California at Riverside, California State University Humboldt, and Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. Over the years, He worked a variety of different jobs: stock clerk, farm laborer, janitor, pot washer, computer programmer, bicycle mechanic, systems analyst, agricultural inspector, information systems administrator, and probably a couple that he has forgotten. Today, he is happily married and lives and writes in Prescott, Arizona.
Inspiration swirls around us as we wander through life and Don often finds himself heeding its calls to create. Like his work experience, Don’s writing doesn’t stick to one genre. Historical fiction, travelogue, children’s stories, historical non-fiction, and horror all find a place in his catalogue.
