Kenneth Hart Green

Kenneth Hart Green is Professor in the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto. His area of research and publication is Jewish Thought and Philosophy, both medieval and modern. As an undergraduate at the University of Toronto in the 1970s, he was introduced to Jewish philosophy by Emil Fackenheim. He then pursued graduate studies at Brandeis University and received his PhD in 1989, supervised by Marvin Fox. He has published books on Leo Strauss and Maimonides, as well as edited books of Leo Strauss’s writings. His latest book is on the philosophy of Emil Fackenheim. In addition, he has also published articles on Judah Halevi, Moses Maimonides, Baruch Spinoza, Moses Mendelssohn, Franz Rosenzweig, Gershom Scholem, and Emil Fackenheim.
