Millie J. Ragosta

Millie Baker Ragosta was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania in 1931, graduated with honors from Huntingdon High School in the class of 1949. She married Vincent A. Ragosta in 1950. She is the mother of eleven children, grandmother of seventeen, and great-grandmother of seven . . . at last count.

She is the author of thirteen published romances, many short stories and articles and, for eight years until her resignation upon her husband’s death in 1990, a family humor column, byline Baker’s Dozen, for a national weekly newspaper. She edited and sold her father’s critically acclaimed Doughboy’s Diary, his account of the part Huntingdon’s Company F played in the First World War. She is presently researching a series of factual novels dealing with how many Huntingdon County families—including her own—came to eventually settle there.
