Stephen Lee Crane

There is no answer as to why his parents gave him the name of the great Civil War writer Stephen Crane, but perhaps it gave him inspiration. Those who have followed his literary efforts from the earliest high school days will remember the iconoclastic style evident in his caricatured portrayal of the teaching staff or his more mature lampooning of celebrities like the Beatles as a literary critic and the news editor of the Daily Pennsylvanian.

The young intellectual rebel grew into a critic and interpreter of larger issues like war, which resulted in Survivor from an Unknown War and like the historic development of a modern civil society, resulting in Jewish German Revolution and When Bible Meets History (release date of June 20, 2024). Crane has edited other books such as Jane Austen, a Treasure of Illustrations.
