Jeff Obermeyer

My name is Jeff Obermeyer, and when I'm not working I spend time writing about baseball, hockey, and music. I'm a member of both SABR (Society for American Baseball Research) and SMH (Society for Military History), and my writing has appeared in a number of magazines and journals including NINE, Baseball Research Journal, and National Pastime. In 2010 I was one of the recipients of the McFarland-SABR Baseball Research Award for an article on baseball's treatment of returning World War II veteran Al Niemiec, combining my interests in both baseball and military history. I live in Kirkland, Washington.
