As a Birmingham City supporter for over 60 years I was frustrated by the lack of published material related to The Blues. Trying to get a publisher was much harder than I expected so I self-published my first book in 2006. That effort paid off as I later secured a publishing deal which meant that along with history books about my favourite club I was able to write the biographies of some of my heroes: Gil Merrick, Paul Robinson and Trevor Francis. I love writing about The Blues although even my fellow Bluenoses responded to my book "50 Greatest Matches" with comments like "what's your next book - 100 great throw-ins?"

My current project is to produce with PITCH PUBLISHING a coffee table book to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the formation of Birmingham City Football Club. Image the feeling when you sit alongside one of your heroes at a book signing - there are better feelings in the world but not many!!
