Philomena O'Neill

Philomena O'Neill was born in Dublin, Ireland. Her family moved to Ghana, West Africa when she was eight years old and immigrated to Canada when she was 14. She met her husband in 1976 on a sailboat, and after marrying they moved to Seattle where they raised four children - and today enjoy their nine grandchildren.

Philomena has been illustrating children's books, magazines and education material since 1996. She works digitally and also uses traditional medium such as watercolor, liquid acrylics, gouache and pen and ink wash. She is best known for her ability to render children and animals with great expression and humor.
