Andrew Soderberg

From his roots as a television director, as a member of Apple's QuickTime team, to over 20 years developing Internet services, Andrew has focused his career on delivering products and customer centric services using video, interactive media, and web technologies.

At Atari, Inc. in the early 1980s, Andrew was a member of the team that build the first computer and laserdisc interactive kiosks used in retail. He was the Production Manager for Atari's television commercials which won a Clio award. At ViMart Corp., he further developed and marketed interactive kiosks to sell software at Sears and K-Mart stores nationwide. As Director of Marketing, at Aapps Corp., he was the first to market digital video products for the Macintosh, before QuickTime existed.

Andrew was recruited by Apple in 1990 to be the Evangelist responsible for QuickTime and Firewire solutions. During his tenure at Apple, he was instrumental in the creation of many key strategic partnerships, as well as enlisting over 100 companies worldwide to develop QuickTime and Firewire based products. As Advanced Technology Evangelist, he was a key member of the team that managed the development of the 660 & 840 AV Macs.

In 1993 Andrew founded Merlin Media, Inc., a successful Silicon Valley creative and technical agency pioneering multimedia and web solutions for Fortune 500 companies as well as high-tech start-up clients. His team built a 30-station interactive system for Apple that ran for 2 years at Disney World's EPCOT Center. In 1995 Andrew authored a book, Desktop Video Studio, published by Random House Electronic Publishing, and was honored by AV Video Multimedia Producer magazine's as a Top 100 digital video producer.

In 2005 Andrew became CTO and VP of Web Services for Interact Communications, Inc., an agency focused on servicing two-year colleges, providing market research, communication services, and Internet/web solutions. From 1993-2008 Andrew has built and managed hundreds of corporate and higher education websites, as well as dozens of multimedia CD/DVD products.

In 2008 Andrew was recruited by OmniUpdate, the premier SaaS Content Management Software vendor, to build out a department of award winning professional services, training, and support technicians. As Vice President of Customer Success, Andrew and his team of 30 were responsible for the success of the company's over 700 college and university customer web sites.

With his free time Andrew loves to sail off the coast of Southern California.
