Douglas A. Hergert

Douglas Hergert has been a writer all of his professional life. His latest writing projects include a newspaper column and a first novel. He has published three collections of his "essays," which originated as newspaper columns: "Do I Know You? and Other Stories from the Rossmoor News"; "Can't Get It in France: More Stories from the Rossmoor News"; and "Bring Out the Accordions: Another Year of Stories from the Rossmoor News."

His first novel, "Nothing in Paris," is available in paperback and as a Kindle e-book.

In the '80s and '90s, Hergert was well known as a computer book author. Over the course of twenty years, he published some 60 books -- on computer programming, software applications, and operating systems. Many of his books became best sellers in their fields, and all were translated widely into a dozen languages.
