Paul is listed in the twenty-seventh edition of "Who’s Who in the East" and the first edition of "Who’s Who in the Media and Communications". He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Chinese graduate students at the University of Michigan. Paul lived and worked in New York for the Sperry Rand Corp as a technical writer-producer; as a writer-producer at United States Productions; as CEO of Dynasty International; as Board Member/owner of Peerless-Premier Appliance Company; as Co-founder of the International Media Institute; as COO of Tribeca Interactive in partnership with Robert De Niro; and founder of Channel Surfer, Inc. a developer of speech-recognition software.
Paul authored "The Illustrated Step-by-Step Chinese Cookbook", 1975 (Simon & Schuster), "The Illustrated Step-by-Step Beginner's Cookbook", 1980 (Four Winds Press), The Dynasty Game, a simulation (Dynasty International); co-author: (textbook) "Action Chemistry: Matter, Energy, Change", 1973 (Holt, Rinehart & Winston) ; creator/developer speech-recognition software product: "Kid’s Talk & Learn", 1994.
Paul consulted for and worked with the Children’s Television Workshop on the development of "3,2,1 Contact!"; and was a consultant at Cable Information Systems, NY, to develop a two-way interactive cable system.
Paul produced-wrote-directed the following award-winning films: "Lizzi the Terrible", a claymation children’s film; "Chinatown, Inc." a documentary; and "Billions for Defense" (Both awarded Bronze Medals at the International Film & TV Festival of New York, 1977-78 respectively.).
"Escape from Shanghai" is Paul’s biography of his mother in China during WWII.
