Gerry Burney

Gerry Burney graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and pursued graduate study at the University of California, Bekeley, and Seminary study through the Southern Bapist Seminary, Nashville, Tennessee. He authored his first book on economics and poverty in 1985. Mr. Burney is a veteran of the US Air Force, and seved in Thailand in 1968, and Vietnam in 1969. He retired from managing microwave communication technologies for over thirty years. He has pasrtored in several Baptist and community churches within the Mendo-Lake association of churches in California, and served as the full time chaplain to the inmates for the Mendocino County Jail and Juvenile Hall for 16 years. He has been a high school teacher, and teaches seminars on biblical studies (also available on You Tube). He currently operates an outreach to prisons all across America (Target Truth Ministries.com), with weekly studies sent via US Mail at no cost to hundreds of prisoners. He also provides a devotional each week to the homeless community at the local Hope Center. A biography has been written titled "Into the Light - The Chaplain Gerry Story" - Illumify Media Group.
