Robert Schenk

In the late 1980s Robert Schenk developed a fascination with typography. This interest plus his interest in computer programming led to the creation of a maze-construction kit that resulted in two maze puzzle books published by Dover in the mid 1990s. In late 2011 the availability of easy on-demand publishing encouraged him to return to maze making. The result was a dozen maze books, all available on Amazon.

One way of making mazes visually interesting is to use tessellations to form the grid. In 2015 Schenk decided to learn more about the tessellations that he had been using for mazes. Since then his books have focused on tessellations rather than mazes.
