R. S. Hill

R. S. Hill's passion for writing began while listening to his grandfather spin tall tales about gigantic rats, ferocious sharks and the man who caught a missile in his teeth. Growing up in a family where he was the second of five children, his craving for solitude eventually cultivated a truly overactive imagination that got him into a lot of trouble. After hearing an audio recording of Poe’s “Cask of Amontillado” in his junior English class, he knew he wanted write.

After finally taking that creative writing class his senior year in college, he decided to become a writer.

Over the years, he pursued fiction writing and published his first novel, Under the House. When Hill is not writing, he teaches high school English and creative writing in Tucson, Arizona where he lives with his lovely wife and two children.
