Willy-nilly or otherwise, I have had long life of adventures, more adventures than most--carpenter, ranch hand, laborer, soldier, sailor, pilot, academic, journalist, cattle farmer, and have partnered in two businesses and once boxed all comers in a Kansas carnival . I think a wide variety of experience is necessary if a novelist is to produce rich yarns.
Now in Stage Five renal failure--the stage penultimate to the mortician, I realize the final adventure is just around the corner.
