Mike Dyer

Born and educated in New York City, Mike Dyer spent 47 years as a sportswriter for New York newspapers, most notably for The Long Island Press and The Albany Times-Union.

A graduate of Hofstra University and father of two, Dyer is the author of "Getting into Pro Baseball," and "Pro Football's Greatest Teams." Dyer was also editor for Who's Who in Baseball in 1984 and 1985.

Now living in Buffalo, N.Y., Dyer has been voting for Baseball's Hall of Fame since 1983.

He is interested in the occult, rock 'n roll music, and bowling. For his newspaper work, he interviewed sports celebrities Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays, Pete Rose, Roy Campanella, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Hull, Bobby Orr and Frank Gifford.
