Per Lind

Per Lind is a professor in Industrial Development at Uppsala University, Sweden. He has worked with private sector development for the last thirty years, both as an academic and a consultant to United Nations. His research focus is on factors hampering and driving small business growth in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Throughout his research methodological aspects like models and methods have been prominent. More recently Dr Lind is conducting a research team in the Baltic Sea region to promote a university-municipality-small business triangular collaboration towards local economic development.

Per Lind is a regular guest professor teaching management, development theory and research methods at universities in South Africa, Latin America and in the Baltic Sea region including Western Russia. His publication record includes around 70 books, articles and proceedings. He has a master degree in Electrical Engineering and a doctor degree in Industrial Economics and Management. Mr Lind has worked for IBM, Logica (UK) and Olivetti in management positions in Sweden and abroad. His doctoral work was on computerisation in an Egyptian factory.
