Andreas Laschet

With his book "Simulation von Antriebssystemen" (1988), Dr. Andreas Laschet presents a holistic approach to dynamic processes (with a focus on "torsional vibrations") in complete drive systems in mechanical engineering, plant engineering and vehicle design using a suitable simulation method. After studying mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University, he has been working scientifically on this topic since 1980 and also - supported by the German National Academic Foundation - wrote his doctoral thesis on the subject. This topic is not only about the CAE analysis of single drive elements (like couplings, gears, cardan shafts etc.), but about the complete analysis of the complete drive train between prime mover (engine or motor) up to the working machine (like compressors, pumps, fans, blowers, turbines, etc.). Further book publications are: 8 volumes as conference books (with co-authors) on the topic "System Analysis in Automotive Driveline Technology" as well as further technical publications and technical book contributions such as: Laschet, A.; Küçükay, F.: Driveline (Chapter 23); from: G. Currently, Dr. Laschet is also working on typical NVH optimizations in vehicle powertrains or in test rigs of automotive components (E motors, gears, etc.) to study dynamic processes in machines and systems.
