Joseph D. Sclafani

Dr. Joseph D Sclafani taught as a Professor of Psychology at the University of Tampa (UT) for 30 years. Dr. Sclafani has held licenses as a psychologist and marriage and family therapist in Florida, where he also is certification-eligible as a family mediator. He is now happily retired and living the life with his wife, Linda.

Dr. Sclafani has written three critically acclaimed hard copy books, two on parenting, and one on re-marriage issues - “The Educated Parent: Recent Trends in Raising Children”(2004), The Educated Parent 2: Child Rearing in the 21st Century” (2012), and “Re-marriage in the Catholic Church: New Beginnings, New Lives Together” (2010).

New in 2020 is "Pandemic Parenting", a parenting booklet for child rearing in pandemic times. In fall 2018 the on-line version of “Re-marriage in the Catholic Church: New Beginnings, New Lives Together” was made available only on Amazon.com ($6.99). This second edition, written with his wife, Linda, has been updated, revised and supplemented.

Dr. Sclafani's E-Parenting Series is an effort to make accurate and science-based parenting information available and affordable to real parents. This is more than just good advice. The e-booklets are based upon his two parenting books, but are updated and extended from that work. Dr. Sclafani created this series of on-point, downloadable documents to help everyday parents get access to reliable facts and information.

Dr. Sclafani has chosen to not participate in any social media (SM) formats due to privacy issues and the harmful SM frenzies that regularly occur on the internet.
