Hunt Tooley

Hunt Tooley is Professor of History at Austin College (Sherman, TX). A historian of the modern world, he has written mainly on subjects related to war, revolution, empire, and peacemaking in the modern world. His academic articles and reviews have appeared in journals in the United States, Canada, the UK, and Switzerland. He has written or edited four books, including a work of historical fiction which may well be the only recent novel to feature a goat as a principle character! He is a coffee snob. He is a lover of Viennese culture. He makes an extraordinary carrot cake. He includes among his heroes Ludwig von Mises, Emily Hobhouse, and Frederic Bastiat. He teaches a college course about traveling the imperial world based on Mark Twain's last travel book, Following the Equator.
