Jeff Shear

Jeff Shear writes the alt-espionage series The Jackson Guild Books, which tells the story of a Congressional aide turned spy in a demi-dystopian era. Guild—the name is pronounced like the word "wild"—survived a nuclear attack that decapitated the government. He lives in an alternate future beginning in an alternate past, September 2009. The view forward sees nuclear war as inevitable. Russia's fingerprints are all over the devastating atomic strike on Washington. Moscow's spy center, the Lubyanka, marches to the orders of the grand oligarchs basking on the sands of their crypto-rich fiefdoms, groomed by Vladimir Putin.

This explosive, prescient series, tells the story of a man's struggle to survive on his way to redemption. As his undercover war rages, the final battle approaches, a struggle to recapture a fourth-generation nuclear device, a weapon that will finally make atomic war possible.

Shear contributed to the best selling book The Buying of the Congress, published by Avon, while a Fellow at The Center for Public Integrity in Washington, DC. He covered Congress and fiscal policy as a staff correspondent for National Journal. He was hard-passed to the White House and credentialed at Treasury.

His first book was an investigation into a weapons deal between the US and Japan (FSX), published by Doubleday. Entitled The Keys to the Kingdom, the book is available from collectors and as an eBook.
