Phillip Kerrigan

Phillip Kerrigan is an Australian author previously published by Penguin, he is of Irish descent and this is a story based on his father's involvement in the Irish War of Independence and Civil War. Phillip was raised in Australia the youngest of a large Irish Catholic family and family research unearthed this amazing story of his father's life in Ireland in those troubled years as he and his boyhood friend and ally, in the War of Independence and then a Civil War ultimately made them enemies. Joe Keenan (Kerrigan) went through to 1924 when he migrated to Australia exhausted by the poverty and politics of his homeland.

“Treaty or Treason” covers the involvement of his father and other family members in the turbulent era of Ireland’s War of Independence and Civil War and their aftermath in the early 1920’s.

Now retired Phillip’s writing is a late life pastime and is currently researching a sequel to “Treaty or Treason”.
