I am a seventy-one-year-old author on the other side of cancer and treating life wall-to-wall with an upgraded perspective.
Mostly a published outdoor writer my work shows up in several hunting and fishing magazines. The best description of me I guess came from friends dubbing me an intellectual redneck so let's go with that. Assuming we are still allowed the stereotypes of rednecks, even in the unlikely juxtaposition with intellectuals, without being accused of insensitivity, the compromise required to coin a person as both is okay with me. My promise to you is that I am a straight shooter, old-school, philosopher, confident within my self-published books there is enough variety to cover the ground.
The strongest testaments of my writing came from two moguls in the arena of outdoor magazines:
Roger Page’s eloquent essays are soul-charging treatises that capture the outdoors experience like few can in today’s age.
Daniel E. Schmidt/ Vice President and Editor-In-Chief; Deer & Deer Hunting
Roger spills his heart onto each written page — quick to provoke a smile one moment and a tear the next. Contemporary writing at its finest.
Gordy J. Krahn/ Former Editor-in-Chief — North American Hunter magazine
Please enjoy reading my words as much as I have enjoyed arranging them.
