Bob Beattie

R.E. Beattie (Bob) Born Sydney Australia 1935. Mother half Danish and proud of it. Father 'Scotch and fond of it'.

Brought up in the Suburb of Botany. Moved to the country for about 15 years then on to our present residence in the City of Penrith.

The last 20years working life was spent as a Quality Assurance/Process Control Engineer for the Video and Computer Software Unit of 3M Australia. On retirement I studied and achieved the TAFE Certificate in Ceramics and underwent a ten year experience in creative writing with the University of the Third Age.

Currently I'm preoccupied turning out the occasional ceramic showpiece together with my Soul Mate Susanne, and writing stories and poetry. Although lately our spare time is diverted into enjoying the academic, sporting and social aspirations of our six grandchildren.
