Phil Phillips

Phil Phillips is an author, speaker, and cultural commentator whose books in the 1980s–1990s helped parents look at children’s entertainment with fresh eyes. His breakout, Turmoil in the Toy Box (1986), examined how toys and cartoons shape imagination and values, followed by Halloween and Satanism (1987), Horror and Violence (1988), Saturday Morning Mind Control (1991), Helping Your Children Walk with God (1992), and practical guides 52 Things for Your Kids to Do Instead of Watching TV and 52 of the Best Toys and Games for Your Child (both 1992). His later work, including Dinosaurs: The Bible, Barney & Beyond and Angels, Angels, Angels, broadened the conversation to science, faith, and discernment. Across hundreds of TV and radio interviews, Phillips’ aim has been consistent: give families clear, hopeful tools to raise wise, resilient kids in a noisy media world. Today he adapts those insights to streaming-era family life, emphasizing character and practical habits.
