Tom Hall, author of memoir, "Mormon Chronicles of Deception"
The detour that Tom Hall took into the Mormon Church seemed permanent.
However, even after 18 years of Mormonism, his youthful decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior never left him. The chains of unsubstantiated, false Mormon teachings began to be broken. The Holy Spirit led him to just read the Bible and compare its timeless truths with Mormon doctrines labeled as "Christian".
This time, he took his faith into account and made his decision to trust God's Word alone. This time, he could be objective and see the difference by fulfilling Paul's admonition to "Prove all things; hold fast what is good." and "...stand fast and hold the traditions you were taught, whether by (God's)word or epistle." I Thess. 5:21 and II Thess.2:15 .
Leaving the obstacles of Mormonism for biblical Christianity left Tom with being ostracized from all Mormons, including his wife! His only choice was to remain a Latter-day Saint or be excommunicated and suffer a temple divorce! To uphold God's Word and His kingdom would be the final justification...
