Susan Kleinman

Susan Kleinman is the author of "All Afternoon," a funny, tender novel about the dreams we lose along the way and the courageous work of finding our way back to them.

Her short stories, articles, and essays have appeared in dozens of publications in the US and abroad, including The American Literary Review, CRAFT Literary, Jewish Fiction, The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, Hadassah Magazine, and House Beautiful; and her work has been translated into Spanish, Chinese, and Braille.

Susan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, and was awarded a Kathryn Gurfein Writing Fellowship at Sarah Lawrence College, where she subsequently taught classes in fiction writing and overcoming writer's block.

The mother of two grown children, she lives with her husband in the suburbs of New York, where she writes in an office the color of Harold's Purple Crayon. Because life's too short for beige.
