Vernon J. Bittner

Vernon J. Bittner is a psychotherapist, clergyman, author, and educator. In each of his other self-help books he has drawn on his own life experiences, and his new book, AMAZING GRACE: A Journey of Self-Discovery, is no exception. As a 90-year-old, life has taught him that blessings will come and go as part of the rhythm of life, but God's grace has always been present. Through grace, Dr. Bittner has experienced the healing of child abuse and the transformation of weaknesses into strengths. Grace has expressed itself through dreams with answers to his questions and the healing of PTSD. God's grace has given him the strength to forgive the unforgivable, the courage to persevere when life seemed hopeless, the wisdom to live more consciously, the power to heal his addictions, and the serenity to appreciate his true self. As a result of God's amazing grace, he knows that in life or death he belongs to God, and that he is never too old to dream a new dream. Besides, his age is none of his business.
