Frank C. Rocca

Frank Rocca, born in 1950, was a resident of Collinwood in Cleveland, OH for the first 26 years of his life. Collinwood was one of two predominately Italian-American neighborhoods in inner-city Cleveland. Rocca was expelled from Collinwood high school in 1968, during a time (mid-to-late '60s) when Collinwood made state and national headlines for being one of the most racially volatile schools in America. Cleveland, during the 1970s, became known as "Bomb City, USA." In 1976, 36 car bombs detonated in Cleveland, which was the same year when the author relocated his family to a rural area and became a conformation judge for the American Pit Bull Terrier -- judging on three continents and publishing three books on that breed. The author enrolled as a full-time student at Kent State University in 1999, and by 2003 graduated magna cum laude with a BGS at age 53. Rocca then worked as a chemical dependency counselor for 14 years at one of America's foremost inpatient treatment centers while writing two novels, "I'm Jack & I Want More" and its sequel "I'm Jack & I'm Back: The Basement Pit." The author is currently retired from counseling and working on his sixth book.
