Randall Wisehart

I've been a writer since I was about six years old. I can remember taking out my plastic figures of soldiers and animals and superheroes and stringing them throughout the house, up the stairway, down the hallway, into my bedroom and throughout the walk-in closet. And along the way I'd create adventures for my characters. I've been creating stories ever since.

My first two books were historical fiction. I like to research a time in history, learn about some historical figures, and then create characters of my own, characters firmly grounded in that time period. Then I let my ideas percolate and simmer before finally sitting down at the keyboard and letting my characters tell the story. My newest historical fiction novel for middle grades readers is Families of Two Fires: Forging America's Frontier 1716-1832 will be released fall of 2023.

My first mystery A Greyt Greyhound Rescue combines my love of mysteries with my passion for Greyhound rescue. I .continue the Rachel Chance series with A Greyt Deception which includes more fun facts about Greyhounds
