Harry Burrus

A drama major in college, Harry Burrus has advanced degrees in Cinematic Arts and Writing. He is the author of eleven collections of poetry, two novels, and numerous plays and screenplays. His collages, photographs and paintings have been exhibited in South America, Russia, and Europe. His visual poetry, photos and watercolors, are in the Openned Eyes Gallery Archive in London. He had a solo exhibition of 40 large photographs at the Houston International FotoFest. His Immortal Quest won the Capital Fund Screenplay Competition. His articles about the Beats in Mexico have appeared in Beatdom and Beat Scene, a UK publication. He has played international tennis and has been nationally ranked in singles and doubles, and was number two in the United States with his father in Father & Son doubles. He is the writer-director of the feature film Marrakech and the editor of the literary-art publication O!!Zone. He lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where he volunteers at the Sociedad Protectora de Animales.
