About Dr. Joe Giampalmi

Professor, consultant, columnist, and author, Dr. Joe Giampalmi has been teaching writers to perform beyond their expectations for more than half a century. If classroom content includes writing, Joe has created it, taught it, revised it, and graded it. His holistic approach includes compassion and consistency.

This award-winning educator has been inducted into multiple halls of fame, and received recognition for creative teaching, innovative classroom technology, championing diversity, and promoting public education.

A classroom instructor from middle school through grad school, Dr. Giampalmi consulted with teachers in more than a thousand classrooms and conducted more than a hundred workshops for elementary, high school, and college instructors. He taught more than a hundred research courses, graded thousands of student research projects, and presented nationally, regionally, and locally.

Joe practices what he teaches, having written sports and education articles for national publications, and a 34-year semi-monthly newspaper column (“Conversations in Education”) for DelcoNewsNetwork. His commitment to his profession includes never having missed a newspaper deadline.

His fourth book, APA Style & Citations—For Dummies, will be published in April 2021 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Ten For Dummies Books are sold every sixty seconds in the United States.
