Diana Walstad

Diana Walstad came from a family of tropical fish enthusiasts. After receiving a degree in microbiology, she worked as a research technician in various medical and biological fields. In 1999, Ms. Walstad first published 'Ecology of the Planted Aquarium.' Now into its 4th Edition (2023), the book continues to gain popularity and influence. In 2025, she published 'Aquarium Fish Reproduction. Scientific Studies of Guppies and Other Fish.' Both books are unique in that they present new and useful information to hobbyists in an accessible manner.
