She is the author of the acclaimed psychological thriller Nothing to Lose, and the sexy mystery Cruise to Retribution. Her nonfiction titles include Capital Baby and the Birth Date Book series.

Originally, Lisa K. Friedman intended to be a marine biologist but after one summer on a trawler scooping unidentifiable clumps of mucosa from the shallow shoals of the Atlantic, she swore off marine science for good. She remains proud of her status, however, of being the only student on the trawler who did not share the contents of her stomach with the class.

Lisa secured a job on Capitol Hill where she holds the known record for Number of Hours Wandering Lost in a Senate Office Building. She began writing features, articles and materials for local organizations and appeared on radio and television as an expert in her field. She continues to promote arts and literary events throughout the greater Washington DC region.

Lisa is most proud of her work as Assistant Editor at the Potomac Literary Review, and as Marketing Director for the F. Scott Fitzgerald Literary Conference. Inc. She is a member of American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and remains active in the Washington DC literary community.

Lisa K. Friedman graduated from the George Washington University and earned a Master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University. She lives in the Washington DC area where she writes the blog, Dementia for Survivors and the humor series, Laugh Out Loud.
