Stan Freeman

I'm a retired newspaper reporter whose articles have appeared in more than forty newspapers, including the Chicago Sun-Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Seattle Times, Houston Chronicle and St. Louis Post-Dispatch. For much of my career, I was the science and environmental writer for the Springfield Union-News and Sunday Republican of Massachusetts. Born in New York City in 1948, I grew up in Huntington, N.Y. and went on to study engineering at Cornell University and fiction writing in the MFA program at University of Massachusetts. My book, "The God Question and the Galapagos Colony," a collection of two science fiction novellas, was named one of the "best books of 2021" by Kirkus Reviews.
