Catherine De Courcy

Catherine de Courcy, Irish author, historian and speaker, has published on a diverse range of topics from the Cathars of France to Australian outback travel and the history of zoos. Her writing career emerged from her professional work in research libraries in Ireland, Papua New Guinea and Australia. Natural curiosity, a constant supply of interesting subjects and an easy writing style has led to the publication of 17 non-fiction books and one novel. Woven through some of de Courcy’s work, including 'Montsegur: a novel‘ and 'An adventure in grief’ is a spiritual dimension that is integral to the author’s own life. She now divides her time between the Languedoc region of France and Ireland.
