Roger Harvey

Playwright, novelist and scriptwriter Roger Harvey was born in 1953 and lives in Newcastle. Best known for his romantic historical novels THE SILVER SPITFIRE and MAIDEN VOYAGE (the latter set around the building of the gigantic liner 'Mauretania' on Tyneside during the 1900s), he also writes articles and features for British magazines and is a prolific and widely published poet. He was the first poet to read on BBC Radio 1; the sometimes hilarious adventures on his coast-to-coast reading tour of the USA are told in POET ON THE ROAD. ALBATROSS BAY is a delightful and romantic adventure set in days of innocence on the magnificent Northumbrian coast.
