PETER EDWARD (Ed) WHEELER's military career took him from Buck Private to Brigadier General until he ended his 35-year military career when he retired after Operation Desert Storm. A former enlisted sniper, he became a member of
the elite President's Hundred. After OCS, he was a branch-qualified Infantry,
Military Intelligence, and Military Police Officer. He later graduated from the U.S. Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, KS; the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. His final assignment was to serve as Commander of Mobilization and Deployment Task Force-45, during the Persian Gulf War. A native of New York City, New York, he was educated at Texas A&M, the University of South Carolina and the University of Tulsa. He earned a BA in History and Political Science, an MA in History and an MS in International
Strategic Planning. He is the former Executive Vice President of a computer gaming company and the former General Manager of a billion dollar energy corporation. At present, he is an Adjunct Professor of History and American Federal Government in the fourth largest Community College in the nation.
He is a national-award winning author of over a hundred articles in military, political, economic, and historical publications; and is currently
a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
