Cindi R. Maciolek

I’ve been writing since I was four years old, first simple poems and songs, then more complex works. It’s what I do. Rarely a day goes by when I’m not jotting something down or cranking out significant word count on the desktop. But, that’s not all!

I grew up in Detroit and graduated from Michigan State University. Go Green! After graduation, I headed to Silicon Valley and enjoyed the sunshine and earthquakes while learning all I could about the depths of the high-tech industry. My positions in marketing and public relations gave me the opportunity to travel the world, visiting over 20 countries, meeting new people, enjoying their cultures and stockpiling ideas for future tomes.

While working in the corporate world and later running my own consulting business, I wrote numerous articles for The Robb Report and Delta Sky Magazine about contemporary art and artists, followed by several years as a contributing lifestyle writer for Luxury Las Vegas once I made the trek to Sin City where I now reside. Go Knights!

My writing manifests as the idea demands, so I’ve published poetry, fiction novels, business books, a memoir, children’s books and I’ve now added budding filmmaker to the list! I love to get to know the characters I’ve created, then manipulate their lives while teaching a lesson or giving one pause.

The Diana Diaries series is my first foray into fiction. The book’s heroine, Diana MacKenzie, finds love and marriage and a globe-trotting career, only to be beset by the economy, divorce and the challenges of trying to make it on her own in a new town – Las Vegas. It’s the story of life that many people can identify with. Destiny Drop and Destiny Dollars are currently available, with the third book in the series, Destiny Detroit, in development.

Aunti Cindi Presents is a collection of sage advice for fulfilled lives, focused on inspiring entrepreneurs. The series includes: How to Screw Up A Good Idea, Tame Those Pesky Details and the upcoming Finding Success Through Friendship, along with several smaller focused titles.

Divatiel: Reflections of a bird’s companion is a loving tribute to my feathered friend. Through the book, I reach out to bird and animal lovers about the loving place pets have in our lives and the lessons they teach us.

My first collection of poems published under the title, Java Jems: 5 Minute Inspirations for Busy People, both in book form and audio CD/mp3. A Healing Heart: 5 Minute Inspirations for Those Who Grieve focuses on the healing process after the loss of a loved one.

My children’s books include: Icarus the Iguana, Who Am I? (pink edition) and Who Am I? (blue edition). More to come!

I was the full time caregiver to my Mom for several years and that experience taught me a lot. I have plans to create multiple projects with that knowledge, so stay tuned to see what develops. I'm currently creating a one-woman show titled, All the Cares in the World, as my first project.

In both my writing and interactions with people, I aim to inspire, motivate and help people give voice or find solutions, whether in writing or business. People are always looking for answers. You need to find yours. I hope I can help you do that.
