Bayla Dornon’s first book was published in 1998, “Gay Testaments, Old & New”, an edited compilation of texts from both famous and obscure literature that paint a vivid and exciting portrait of men loving men.

After taking twenty years off to pursue photography, Dornon published the four-novel RESTORATION series, the story of the Center for Restoration. The four novels follow three young adults as they struggle toward independence, finding restoration from the indoctrination and abuses of religious and patriarchal families and society.

In 2022, Dornon released a second series of novels called “The Jake Bennett Adventures”, a collection of racy stories about a bisexual rookie LA cop named Jake Bennett, a sweet young buck desperately trying to make it in today's world.

In 2024, Bayla Dornon boldly published a shocking and outrageous autobiography, PERFECTLY HUMAN, composed of three separate memoirs: "My Sister, Suzie", "Our Little Sister", "…And The Dragons". These revealing memoirs chronicle Dornon's slow yet constant evolution from an ignorant farm boy in the sixties and seventies, through his exit from the family's insane religious cult, into an activist and artist.

Married to one man since 1988, Béla Dornon has written, videotaped and photographed constantly for the past thirty years. He and his husband recently escaped the absurd desert of San Diego and are now living happily ever after in Seattle.
