Chip Carlson, a 40-year resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a renowned historian of the Old West and considered one of the world's leading expert on Tom Horn, who was hanged for the murder of a 14-year-old boy -- probably for a crime he did not commit.
Carlson is a native of Pennsylvania, was raised in New Jersey, and is a graduate of Colgate University.
He has lived and traveled extensively in the Western Hemisphere, having studied in Argentina and worked in Mexico and Puerto Rico. He speaks fluent Spanish and has acted as an interpreter for the US District Court and the Wyoming Public Defender.
Carlson has authored three non-fiction books and scores of articles in national and regional publications.
He has given dozens of presentations on Tom Horn in four Rocky Mountain states and is much sought after for these popular, dramatic programs.
