Brian Griffin is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He has lived in Bellingham Washington for almost his entire life, and lives there now dedicated to researching and recording its interesting history. For a dozen summers he has narrated a popular waterfront sunset history cruise for the local museum where he is also an active docent. While writing is a passion that has produced eight books Griffin is also active in the music world. He is a luthier, building custom ukuleles which are sold over his website, griffinukuleles.com and purchased by musicians across the country and over the seas. One of his great joys is playing with a local ukulele orchestra, Community Ukulele Players. He is a graduate of Whitman College, with a degree in English literature, a retired insurance broker and a proud great grandfather. Married for sixty four years, he lives in their family home with his wife Marya.
