Bill Meyer

Bill Meyer worked as a volunteer doing maintenance and construction at a mission compound near Gambela, Ethiopia in the late 1970s. Just to get to the mission required a flight from the capital on an old C-47, landing in a cow pasture, followed by a two hour trip down a crocidile infested river. His experience in the deep bush country of Ethiopia is the basis for his book, Anuak: Mission to Danger.

Bill was a combat medic in the Vietnam War for nineteen months, almost two normal tours. His work in the field, on special missions, and in a busy ER are the basis for several of his books.

In the 1990s he started a surgical device company with three partners. Their efforts and the strategies for success are the basis for his book, Cotoc: Anatomy of a Start-up. The company was wildly successful.

His book on enterpreneurship was written as the textbook for a course on the subject at a Californa State University.
