Carol Goodman Heizer

Carol Goodman Heizer is a an eight-time published author, speaker, and professional training and development leader whose books have sold both in the United States and overseas.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and Public Speaking from Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, and an M.Ed. degree in Secondary Education with concentration in English and Literature from the University of Louisville (Kentucky).

After teaching middle school and high school English and Writing for seventeen years, Carol opened Alpha Consulting and began speaking to various businesses, industrial, and educational groups. In addition, she conducted professional training and development seminars for clients such as the Department of Defense, Holiday Inn of America, Humana, the Louisville Board of Realtors, the Courier-Journal, General Electric, Purdue University, and Underwriters Safety and Claims.

Recognizing the need for her own personal and professional growth, Carol has been a Kentucky Speakers Association board member and an active member of National Speakers Association, Louisville Area Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development, Kentucky Society of Association Executives, and Ohio Christian Schools organization. She is also a member of Louisville Christian Writers and Kentucky Christian Writers.

Carol was columnist for several years for Today’s Woman magazine, International Clowning newsletter, and the Louisville, Kentucky, Chapter of Friendship Force International newsletter. She has hosted the local CNN affiliate WNAI radio station’s call-in program titled I’ve Been Thinking that addressed local issues and featured individuals within the community who had a positive influence on their world. Her work has appeared in several editions of CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL and CHRISTIAN COMMUNICATOR.

Once asked how she ever kept up with her busy schedule, she replied, “I believe my life is a self-promoting cycle. What I am accomplishing brings me so much pleasure, it continues to give me more energy.”
