Author Andrea Patten is a creative problem-solver.
As a licensed addictions counselor, her unique blend of clinical and business skills helped her excel in a niche more familiar to those in business: start-ups and turnarounds. Whether presenting workshops, developing training for sales professionals or advocating for families healing from addiction and violence, Andrea provides a slightly offbeat brand of support to people working toward happily-better-after.
Instrumental in the success of more than a dozen innovative programs, Andrea has spoken, at regional and national events, about developing strategies to embrace healthy change. She received a State of Vermont Commissioner’s Award for Pioneering Services for Families. Her love of marketing and customer service have their roots in her family’s nationwide real estate business.
More recently, Andrea has turned to writing full time. After co-authoring What Kids Need to Succeed: Four Foundations of Adult Achievement she created related workshops and training programs. Fascinated by social media, she regularly blogs on topics related to personal growth and is only occasionally flummoxed by the related technology.
Andrea enjoys permaculture, the beach, and her dogs, Bella, and Brava. She and her Favorite Husband currently live on an island in northeast Florida.
