Rick Collins

Rick and Nancy Collins moved to rural Pennsylvania after Rick graduated from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA with an MDiv.

While building a log house in the woods from scratch and living in a camper and tent on the land, God spoke to Rick “I want you to start a church in this area, for I have no one to preach my uncompromised word to prepare my people for my imminent return.”

Rick’s response, after an initial refusal, was “Ok, I will, but you must build it as you promised in your Word.”

After putting an ad in the paper, the church started on Jan 3, 1981. Over the next 43 years he and Nancy not only led the growing family of God, but also grew a wonderful family of 4 daughters and now 9 grandchildren, 8 of whom are boys.

The church has grown to be one of the largest churches in the county. But by far the greatest success of this unique congregation is that when they gather, Jesus Christ is worshipped, people really love one another, and the Holy Spirit’s presence is pervasive. We strive to obey God’s initial instruction to “preach His uncompromised word.”

Over the years, many people have asked that I put some of my sermon series into book form. This series is the first of which I hope are many more .
