Gioacchino Leandro, Gastroenterologist and Biostatistician.

Author of over 500 scientific publications and many books on topics of gastroenterology, clinical nutrition and statistics.

For a long time he has been involved in meta-analysis applied to medical research, publishing two international editions of the book "Meta Analysis" (more info at www.metaanalysisbook.com).

He also designed the software MetAnalysis, that reflects not only his idea of output of a meta-analysis program but where there are original procedures, such as non-parametric meta-regression.

His book "Meta Analisis" has become over time a true text of meta-analysis dedicated to non-experts. Reading it, the clinical researcher learns step by step everything needed to read,

interpret and verify a meta-analysis of the literature, but also to design and analyze one with his own data.
